Professor JEON Joon-hyun has won the “Young Scientist Award” from leading academic societies in Korea one after another.
He won “Young Plant Pathologist Award” (right in the photo above) at the 2023 Spring Conference of Korean Society of Plant Pathology held at Gyeongju Lahan Select from April 27 to 28 and won “Young Scientist Award” (left in the photo above) at the 2023 Spring Conference of Korean Mycology Society held at Yangpyeong Bloomvista from May 10 to 12. The award is given to outstanding researchers under the age of 45 and it is the first time that Professor JEON Joon-hyun received awards from both academic societies.
Professor JEON Joon-hyun reported research results on genetic control of plant pathogenic fungal pathogenicity and how plant microbiome affects crop productivity and disease resistance has been published in internationally renowned journals in the field of microbiology and plant pathology such as <mBio>, <Molecular Plant Pathology>, and <Molecular Plant -Microbe Interactions> . Also, he is acting as an editing member of <Plant Pathology Journal> and <Microbiology Spectrum>.
